Launch Providers From earth into space.
Launch providers have two key areas of responsibility;
- Build rockets to deliver satellites and other payloads into orbit.
- Launch them.
Rocket construction starts when the launch provider is selected and a contract executed that covers the supply of launch services.
Leading launch providers:
Following the rocket's completion, the launch provider delivers it to the launch site for integration with the satellite. There, other launch preparations take place as well.
The launch provider's second responsibility is the launch itself. Here, the vehicle carrying a satellite lifts-off from the ground, following a controlled path to a transfer orbit.
At this point, the satellite separates from the rocket and the satellite manufacturer resumes control.
